Freedom Ain't Free

Do we really know the price of freedom? I'd say from the looks of our communities, we don't. from our actions we have no clue what freedom really is. Freedom cost more than posting clever pics with caption on social media sites or going natural or proclaiming how black you are or even being  outraged @ usa imperialism. So 1st we must determine the cost of freedom, then make collective provisions to reach that goal.

Freedom simply put, is the ability to set the parameters of governance. Meaning, you set up your government & it works in your best interest. Also having the ability to live & live well. So if these our the conditions of freedom, where are we? When I say we, I mean those of us who reject western imperialism, have a pro black mindset, & seek independence from usa. For the most part, we are all working in the very system designed to oppress us, pay taxes to a government that does not rep us, & vote in elections which both candidates have chosen to bypass us for the new minority group. That means, we don't control our own governance & are not free to live well.

Being in the diaspora makes it difficult to form independent governments, so some think they can do nothing but complain about their situation. This is why when you see your facebook news feed its full of bullshit like prayers & calls to march; thinking somehow what hasn't worked for generations will work now. But freedom doesn't work like that. Freedom cost much more.

Freedom cost time. Time put in to effective development in our communities & our youth. Freedom cost sacrifice; sacrificing saving a couple dollars shopping with the arabs, asians, or the big corporate box stores, maybe even traveling a greater distance to by black. & not just any black, but those looking to better our existence. Lastly & most importantly freedom cost money. Probably spooked some of you with that statement, but freedom in a capitalist world will not be had with out collective financial investment; preferably in co-ops, developing our own industries.

The future is ours to take & make the world we wish to live in. But we have to pay the cost to be our own bosses.
